Car boot sales

Please note: We are currently taking applications for the 2026 car boot sale season. To enter your expression of interest please complete the application form and send it to us (below)

Car boot sales are held regularly during the spring and summer (April to September) on council grounds.

We take applications for the car boot sale season in January each year. Car boot sale dates will then be allocated by the Events Team in February and you will be contacted with regard to your application.

  • Adur Recreation Ground: In line with covenants placed on the site when it was originally gifted to Adur District Council, priority is given to charities registered at an address in Shoreham-by-Sea, then charities registered at an address within Adur District.
  • Broadwater Green: charities should be registered at an address in Worthing.

Car boot sales prices:

Prices are subject to an annual increase.

  • Adur Recreation Ground:
    • Hire fee: £590
    • Damage deposit: £300
  • Broadwater Green:
    • Hire fee: £425
    • Damage deposit: £300

Where/when are the car boot sales held
(and how to contact the organisers)

Car boot sales are held on Saturday mornings at Adur Recreation Ground and Broadwater Green from April to September each year. We can allocate 14 dates at Adur Recreation Ground and 9 dates on Broadwater Green.

Information for sellers
(charges, when can you turn up, etc)

Charges are set by the host charity and pitches are not pre-bookable, just turn up on the day.

Sellers should arrive from approximately 7am on the day of the sale.
