Register to view your Council Tax account online
Please note, if you have just moved to Adur or Worthing, you will need to let us know before registering for an online account.
Before you start
You will need to provide us with some information to confirm your identity.
You can supply any combination of elements from the list below, as long as together they make up a combined score of at least 10. Individual scores for each one are listed in brackets:
- your Direct Debit bank account details (9)
- National Insurance Number (10)
- Benefit claim number (6)
- the date in the month that your Council Tax installment is due- this is a mandatory field (4)
- amount of your last Council Tax payment (6)
- your surname (2)
- your date of birth (4)
- your postcode (1)
- your phone number (2)
If during the registration process you are unable to provide answers with a combined score of at least 10, you can ask us to send you a letter with a PIN. You will need to wait until you receive the letter before completing the registration process, but you will only need to use the PIN the first time you log into your account.
Register to use the service
After registering you will be sent an email asking you to verify your account. Once your account has been verified you will only need your username and password to log in to your Self-Service account.
Note: You are able to register to use more than one of our online services (Benefits, Council Tax, Business Rates or Landlord), but you will need to answer different security questions, or enter a new PIN, for each one.
