Adur & Worthing Councils' Play Streets Scheme is a resident-led activity for the purposes of children's play on the street. It involves temporarily closing the road for up to three hours and restricting car access (residents take turns to 'steward' cars leaving or returning to their properties). Children are supervised by parents and local residents and all residents are welcome.

Temporary Play Streets is an easy and manageable project for small communities to do. An application form and guidance document can be found below and support is being provided for residents, if it is needed, for the first session.

Residents can apply for up to 12 dates in any calendar year with flexibility on the dates and days they choose.
