Help with Council Tax payments

Contact us as soon as possible if you are having trouble paying your Council Tax. There are a number of different ways we may be able to help.

You should also check if you are eligible to receive:

• Council Tax Support
• a Council Tax discount, exemption or reduction
• Universal Credit

Monthly payments

If you currently pay your Council Tax over ten months from April to January but want to request to pay over twelve months from April to March please email us at revsbens@adur-worthing.gov.uk 

Please be aware that the total amount of Council Tax that you have to pay will be the same, but the amount you are asked to pay each month will be less.

Debt advice

If you are having financial difficulties you can get free, independent advice about budgeting and managing your debts from the following external organisations:

• National Debtline
• Step Change Debt Charity
• Money Advice Service
• PayPlan
