There are various small local recycling centres across Adur and Worthing where you can bring your unwanted items.

The following sites, maintained by Adur & Worthing Councils, collect textiles and shoes: (postcodes are given for approximate locations)

Please do not leave any other rubbish at these sites - it could mean that all the recyclable items already disposed of are rejected. These recycling points are emptied weekly.

Fishersgate:

  • Goring Road car park, BN12 4PE (on the car park access road, located between the Post Office, 292 Goring Road, and Veranda Café, 322 Goring Road)
  • Pond Lane Recreation Ground, BN13 2JR (corner of Durrington Lane and New Road, opposite The Park View pub)
  • Richmond Road, BN11 1HD (between Worthing Library and the museum garden)
  • Tesco car park (opposite petrol station), Fulbeck Way, Durrington, BN13 3FG
  • Poulter's Lane car park (opposite the Thomas a Beckett pub), Worthing, BN14 7SZ
  • Worthing Leisure Centre car park, Shaftesbury Avenue, BN12 4ET

Report a problem with a textile recycling bank

You should only use this form to report a problem with a textile recycling bank that is run by Adur & Worthing Councils manage (see list above).

To report a problem with other textile recycling banks please look at the bank and contact their provider or managing company, instead. For example, this could be textile recycling banks managed by Oxfam, the Salvation Army, or another charity organisation.

Larger supermarkets may have a range of recycling facilities in their car parks (eg Asda, Co-op, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco, Waitrose, etc).

Donating unwanted items

If you have items that are in good condition that somebody else may be able to use then you can donate them to charities (including furniture or small electrical items), or collect items for charities, or sell them on a resale site such as eBay or Gumtree.
