The purpose of this study is to assess the need for retail development over the plan period (2011-2031). It replaces the 2009 Retail Study Update and should be read alongside the 2012 Retail Report for Adur's Town Centres (see section below).

Retail Report for Adur's Town Centres

In accordance with the National Planning Policy Framework, this study defines the town centre boundaries and primary and secondary frontages of Shoreham-by-Sea, Lancing and Southwick town centres. The study also divides these frontages into different blocks and sets out appropriate uses within each frontage/block.
