If you want to donate food please get in touch with the groups listed below directly, or add items at your local supermarket's in-store collection points.

There are a number of food banks across Adur and Worthing (listed below).

Adur foodbanks:

  • Adur Community Café:
    Southwick Methodist Church Hall
    Friday evenings 6:30pm to 8:30pm
    Offering pay-what-you-feel hot meals and puddings, using local food partners.
    All welcome, under 16s accompanied by an adult.

  • Fishersgate Foodbank:
    Tuesday morning only
    Parcels include meat, dried goods, potatoes, onions, toiletries, cleaning products, nappies where required. Size depends on the number of family members.

    We provide food support to those in need on request and are linked with the Fuel Foundation for support in fuel poverty.
    We have two branches:

    • Harriet Johnson Centre, Loose Lane, Sompting, on Tuesdays from 10am to 11:30am

  • Shoreham Foodbank:
    Networked with the Trussell Trust. The foodbank operates from Shoreham Baptist Church on a Tuesday morning.

  • Bags of Hope:
    Bags of Hope provides a bag of ingredients to make a dinner, plus a free café and a small table of cupboard items
    Open every Thursdays in school holidays 10am to 1pm

  • Broadwater Support Group & Community Hub:
    Broadwater Support operates a Community Hub, which includes a food pantry, pet pantry, free café as well as a uniform exchange. The food pantry is for residents who are struggling to manage. Members join for free and for a donation of £5 they can access food worth £15 once a week. The Community Hub is based at 32 South Farm Road, BN14 7AE, which is just north of Worthing station.   • St Matthew's Church, Worthing (St Matt's Meals):
    Offers free groceries to anyone who lives within a mile of the church at BN11 4HB. St Matt's Meals gives three days of main courses and desserts for each person in the household, delivered to their door. To apply, visit St Matthew's church website and click on St Matt's Meals, see:

  • Worthing Soup Kitchen (WSK):
    Providing support (including furniture and clothing) when needed or in an emergency. Please complete the referral form on the Worthing Soup Kitchen website.

    Worthing Soup Kitchen's Community Fridge takes place every Friday between 3:30 and 5:30pm at the WSK Hub Café, 35-36 Tarring Road, Worthing, BN11 4HP. Surplus food is donated by local supermarkets, shops, food producers, restaurants, wholesalers, householders and allotment owners. All food is free to take, but donations are welcomed.

    We also have a pop-up Food Bank on Saturdays from 1pm to 3pm at The Lovett Center, Maybridge Square, Goring-by-Sea BN12 6HB. Everyone is welcome to access for fresh produce. Food parcels have to be booked in advance.
