Opening hours

Durrington Cemetery is open every day of the year:

  • October to March:
    Monday to Sunday: 8:00am to 6:00pm
  • April to September:
    Monday to Sunday: 8:00am to 8:00pm

Worthing's main site for burials. Traditional and lawn grave burials and appropriate memorialisation are available, along with interment of cremated remains with either headstone or flat memorialisation options.

Please be advised that wildlife frequent this site and may cause damage to floral arrangements and other tributes that are placed for loved ones. Worthing Borough Council does not accept responsibility for any damage caused to tributes.

Durrington Cemetery Memorials' office and showroom are located in the Cemetery Lodge.

Building history

The Cemetery Lodge, Chapel and Arch, which formed the old entrance from the Offington roundabout, were designed by English architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott - who was known for his work on Liverpool Cathedral, Cambridge University Library, Waterloo Bridge and Battersea Power Station, as well as designing the iconic red telephone box.
