Changes to the Building Control Service from 6th April 2024

Legal changes that came into force on 6th April 2024 mean that we must focus our resources on priority work:

• administering and plan checking of building control applications
• site inspections
• dangerous structures
• processing initial notices
• demolition notices (in Worthing)

We will attempt to respond to queries about live applications. However the Building Safety Regulator states that we are no longer allowed to provide design advice.
