Volunteer community facilitators

We're looking to recruit local residents as volunteer community facilitators to help us create a shared vision and set of priorities for our neighbourhoods in Adur and Worthing. Could that be you?

This role forms part of Thriving Together - our participation programme for devolution and local government reorganisation that will help shape the future of the places we call home by ensuring that communities have a voice.

We're hoping to hear from people who can:

  • Follow guidance, but adapt it to their style
  • Listen
  • Record information
  • Be impartial
  • Gather people on their estate, in their street, in a park or at the beach

In exchange for this commitment, you will receive full training in facilitation and deliberation, which will look great on your CV.

This is a voluntary role, but limited funding may be available to compensate for your time.

We're looking for people in: Lancing, Shoreham, Sompting, Southwick, Fishersgate, Findon Valley, East Worthing, Worthing, Broadwater, Durrington, Goring, Maybridge, Offington, Salvington, Heene, West Worthing and Tarring.

We have some funded places, which we have initially identified for young people. If your involvement would rely on payment, let us know.

How to apply:

If you are interested, please email us with your name, telephone number and the name of the place where you live:

We will then come back to you - drop us a line today.
