Buckingham Ward, Shoreham, by-election results

The Labour Party have retained the Buckingham Ward seat in Shoreham after yesterday's Adur District Council by-election.

Labour candidate Kate Davis was elected with 609 votes. The full list of results are as follows:

  • David Bamber (Britain First - Housing For Locals) - 22
  • Kate Davis (Labour) - 609
  • Ian Jones (Liberal Democrat) - 153
  • Mike Mendoza (Reform) - 311
  • Leila Williams (Conservative) - 301
     
  • Rejected / invalid - 3
  • Turnout - 45.4%

The seat was previously held by Labour Councillor Nigel Jenner, who sadly died in April.

The results mean that the political make-up of the council is as follows:

  • 17 Labour members
  • 7 Conservatives
  • two Greens
  • and three Independents
