Worthing community groups invited to apply for funding

Released: Thursday, 29 May 2025

Community groups and organisations are being invited to find out if their projects are eligible for funding ahead of the re-opening of our Worthing Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood Fund.

Applications for the fund will open in September, but we are inviting groups to express an interest now by filling out a simple form.

The fund is made up of a proportion of the payments collected from developers building in the local area, to offset the impact felt by residents.

The fund covers one-off project costs between £1,000 and £5,000, with £145,000 available for groups to bid for.

Groups will be able to find out more about this year's fund and network with each other at a series of in-person community workshop events in June and July:

  • Tuesday 17th June 2025 from 10am to midday at 3rd Worthing Scout Group Hall at 33 Sackville Road
  • Monday 23rd June 2025 from 6pm to 8pm at West Tarring Young People's Hub, 9b High Street, Tarring
  • Monday 7th July 2025 from 3pm to 5pm at Durrington Community Centre, 2 Romany Road
  • Tuesday 22nd July 2025 from 2:30pm to 4:30pm at Heene Community Centre, 122 Heene Road
