Missed bin collections
Released: Friday, 09 May 2025
We are aware that some Adur and Worthing residents are reporting missed bin collections during the implementation of our new collection schedule.
This is partly because, despite our best efforts, some streets have unfortunately missed a collection and not all residents are aware that their collection day has likely changed.
We want to assure residents that we're aware which roads have missed their collection, so there's no need to report a missed collection on our website or services app. Due to the number of reports made, we have temporarily suspended this feature.
We will be collecting garden waste this Saturday (10th May 2025) in the areas we missed. If you're a garden waste customer and missed a collection in Lancing or Goring today (Friday 9th May), please keep your bins out from 6:30am tomorrow.
Our teams have been working hard to collect everyone's bins this week using our new collection schedule, which began on Tuesday 6th May.
We can only apologise to the residents who missed out on their scheduled collection date. If you have any excess side waste or recycling, please leave it with your bins and we'll take it with us on your next collection day. Recycling should be left in an untied bag or a suitable container.
In the meantime, we would like to remind residents to place their bins out for collection by 6:30am. Due to the changes in our collection schedule, your bins may be collected earlier than you are used to. Similarly, we might be later than you normally expect, so please wait until 2:30pm before removing your bin.
If you have any neighbours that might be unaware of the news or our new collection schedule, we would really appreciate your help in keeping them informed.
