Flying flags at council buildings
Adur & Worthing Councils follow UK government's guidance for flying flags at our council buildings, including designated days when the Union Flag must be flown on UK government buildings:
Adur District Council flag:
- The Adur District Council flag will be flown on The Shoreham Centre for:
- Meetings of Full Council
- Sussex Day, 16th June
- It will be flown at half mast for:
- Death of a former Chair
- Death of a member of the council
- A member of council staff who has died whilst carrying out the duties of his/her employment
Worthing Borough Council flag:
- The Worthing Borough Council flag will be flown on the Worthing Town Hall for:
- Meetings of Full Council
- It will be flown at half mast for:
- Death of a Mayor, Past Mayor, or Honorary Alderman
- Death of a member of the council
- A member of council staff who has died whilst carrying out the duties of his/her employment
