Union Place Consultation
We would like your thoughts on our emerging vision, principles and design for the publicly owned Union Place development site.
About the proposals:
Worthing Borough Council acquired Union Place last year before entering into a landpool agreement with government-owned regeneration specialists, LCR. Both parties are working in partnership to bring forward a viable scheme for the 2.6 hectare site, large parts of which have sat empty for more than a decade.
After extensive work behind the scenes, initial proposals for nearly 200 homes, commercial space, a hotel, cinema extension to the Connaught Theatre, car park and public realm enhancements have been created for this public exhibition which we would like to share with you.
The proposals will offer a quality of mixed use residential, commercial and cultural offer for Union Place to support the council's priorities of ensuring a thriving local economy.
You can come along to the Union Place Public Exhibition Consultation on:
- 7th November 2019: from 1pm to 5pm
Worthing Town Hall, Reception
- 11th November 2019: from 4pm to 8pm
Worthing Town Hall, Gordon Room
Have your say:
We have created a Questionnaire Feedback Form that you can complete and share your views on the proposals. Your feedback will help us to shape and support the creation of an outline planning application.
The deadline date for submission of comments on the proposals is Friday 15th November 2019.
Comments made at the Public Consultation events will also be fed into the design programme for further consideration before the designs are finalised for submission.
