Making energy clean, smart, secure and affordable

Energy - Light bulb (100 orange)

Adur & Worthing Councils are committed to stewarding, protecting and improving the environment. Working with the local community and collaborating with partners, we are taking action.

These are some of our key Energy activities and actions this year as part of our long term vision:

Energy - Pound sign (65 orange)Action: Help residents stay well and warm with lower energy bills

Adur & Worthing Councils will:

  • Deliver a 'Local Energy Advice Partnership' over 3 years offering home visits, energy advice, installation of energy saving measures, and further services to households on low incomes

LEAP, (Local Energy Advice Partnership):

Adur & Worthing Councils are working with the Local Energy Advice Partnership (LEAP), to offer local residents a completely free energy advice service. The service involves a visit to your home by a qualified energy adviser. During the visits you can receive:

  • energy saving measures which the adviser will install for you, helping you stay warm while spending less on your energy bills
  • help to change to a cheaper energy supplier or energy tariff
  • help checking if you are eligible for benefits you don't currently receive
  • a referral for managing your finances
  • a referral to have a replacement boiler or new heating system if you are eligible

Find our how to book your free home visit or how to apply on the LEAP website. Eligibility criteria apply but are very broad, so please contact LEAP to find out if LEAP can help you.
