Adur's Pot of Gold
Adur's Pot of Gold 2015
Adur District Council has a pot of money ready and waiting to be spent on the best ideas to improve our community for under 25 year olds.
The projects will be voted on by young people and their supporters who will ultimately make the decision of who get the funding. So start thinking and get applying!
Next questions are...
- Do you live in the Adur area?
- Are you aged under 25?
- Or, does your group work with under 25 year olds?
- Have you got a great idea but don't know where to get the money?
To apply you can be anyone from an individual with a great idea, part of a community group or uniformed organisation or you can be from a group that works with young people in the Adur District.
There are two pots you can apply into (but you can only apply to one); you can apply to the small pot for projects up to £2,000 or to the large pot for projects between £2,001 to £5,000. No application can be for any more than £5,000.
All project ideas must be focussed on one of our key themes:
- Stay Safe
- Be Healthy
- Enjoy and Achieve
- Achieve Economic Wellbeing
- Make a Positive Contribution
When can I apply?
- Applications will be accepted from Monday, 1st December 2014
- Closing date was: Monday, 2nd February 2015
- The application deadline has passed - no more applications can be accepted for 2015
What is the process?
- Step one:
All bids for funding require an application form. These can be completed in hard copy or online at www.adur-worthing.gov.uk. You can also submit a short video in support of your application (applications open from Monday 1st December 2014). All bids will go before a cross party panel of local councillors and young people. This group will meet in early February 2015. - Step two:
At the event on Thursday 9th April 2015 the authorised bids will present their projects ideas to a 'live' voting audience made up of young people, supporters of the bids and a panel of judges made up of the Adur Cabinet. - Step three:
All the projects chosen by the voting audience will then go before full council on Thursday 16th April 2015 for agreement before the funding is released.
