Forthcoming projects - parks and playgrounds

Adur Recreation Ground Play Area

Adur Recreation Ground has been awarded £120,000 from Adur District Councils Capital funding programme. The play area will be fully refurbished with brand new surfacing. Work is expected to start on site in the second quarter of 2019.

Pennycress/Northbrook Recreation Ground Play Areas

The project to remove Pennycress Avenue play area and extend and refurbish Northbrook Recreation Ground play area has been awarded £90,000 from Worthing Borough Councils Capital funding programme. Pennycress Play area will be removed and returned to grass and Northbrook Recreation Ground Play which is adjacent will be extended and will be aimed at children from 3 years to 12 years. Work is expected to start on site in the first quarter of 2019.

Fishersgate Recreation Ground Fitness Equipment

Fishersgate Recreation Ground was awarded £20,000 from Adur District Councils Capital funding programme and £5,000 from a recycling initiative. Following consultation with the local community and site users, we will go out to tender in autumn 2018 with the intention of installing the equipment early in the New Year (2019).
