Worthing on street parking
and Controlled Parking Zones (CPZ)

In Worthing, there are Controlled Parking Zones with resident and Pay & Display bays. This does not cover the entire town but the central locations.

Zone A - Worthing Town centre

Who can park in Zone A?

  • Permit holders
  • Pay & Display

When is the zone active?

  • Monday to Saturday: 9am to 6pm

How much?

  • £1.40 per hour
  • £0.70 per 30 minutes
  • Prices correct as at 3rd September 2018

Pay where?

Pay and Display Machine in Worthing

  • Where pay and display parking is available there will be a pay and display machine located nearby (see photo right)
  • Drivers can now pay by cash or card
  • Either method of payment will produce a pay and display ticket that must be displayed face up on the dashboard, so that all the details can be seen from the front of your vehicle
  • Please check that your pay and display ticket is still clearly displayed after you have closed all the doors on your vehicle

Note:

  • Always check the sign on the road for the amount of time you are permitted to park
  • If the sign says 'Pay & Display parking', or 'Pay & Display and residents permits' - you may park for the length of time stipulated
  • If the sign says 'Permit Holders Only' - this parking is reserved for residents of the town centre, who have an appropriate permit and means you may not use those bays.

Zones B and C - Worthing outer town centre

Who can park in Zones B and C?

  • Permit holders
  • Pay & Display

When is the zone active?

  • Monday to Saturday: 9am to 6pm

How much?

  • All roads in Zones B and C:
    • £1.30 per hour
    • £0.65 per 30 minutes
  • except Shelley Road:
    • there are mix of 2 hour and 4 hour bays
    • the 2 hour bays are the prices above
    • the 4 hour bays are £0.60 per 4 hours
  • Prices correct as at 3rd September 2018

When is the zone active?

  • Monday to Saturday: Between 10am to 11am, and 2pm to 3pm
    • Only residents with permits may park during these times
  • Note: There are some restrictions within these zones which are 9am to 6pm - please check the signage when you park
