Worthing Crematorium will be hosting a Christmas Memorial for those who wish to come together with their community for a service of remembrance this Christmas.

The service is on Saturday 7th December 2019 and starts at 11am in the Kingswood Chapel, Worthing Crematorium.

The service will be taken by Minister Sarah Jane Boden and there will be Christmas music and carols from the Worthing Silver Band. There will be time for reflection, meditation and candle lighting.

After the service, the Mayor of Worthing, Hazel Thorpe will be unveiling a memorial art work dedicated to Ashley our late crematorium cat.

There will be mince pies and a warm drink after the service courtesy of Mr Beans our new coffee concession at the Crematorium.

The memorial cross has been painted on the lawn outside the Muntham Chapel in preparation for those who want to lay flowers in memory of their loved ones.

Christmas can be a wonderful time of year for most of us most of the time. If you have been bereaved either recently or a while ago, it can be a difficult time.

You can find some helpful tips for coping at this time of year on the Cruse Bereavement Care website.

Please take extra care of yourselves and I and the Bereavement Services Team wish you a peaceful Christmas.

Kate Greening
Bereavement Services Manager
