Released: Wednesday, 27 March 2019
Organisations with a proven track-record of giving something back are being invited to bid to take on the running of Eastbrook Manor Community Centre in Adur.
Adur & Worthing Councils own a number of community buildings and, as opportunities arise, will be looking to lease them to not-for-profit organisations to ensure the important facilities thrive.
Expressions of interest for Eastbrook Manor Community Centre are being invited by 12th April 2019.
A 15-year lease is being considered for each centre with peppercorn rent an option for organisations that can demonstrate a social return.
A council spokesman said:
“The buildings are valuable assets for our local residents and the wider community - and meeting their needs, wants and expectations are essential.”
“We’re looking for organisations with sound experience, leadership and passion to take on a new lease and be the driver of good things in, and with, the local communities.”
