Developers promise to bring 'world class development' to Shoreham Beach

Released: Thursday, 13 April 2017

Developers who have teamed up with Adur District Council to transform a run-down toilet block have promised to create “the best beachfront cafe on the south coast”.

Internationally-renowned developer Boxpark has been chosen as the preferred partner to revamp the site on Shoreham's Beach Green.

The Brighton-based firm plans to incorporate the public toilets into a new community beach hub called the Big Box Cafe.

It will be run by Dan Stockland and Norman Cook, who are behind the Big Beach cafe in Hove Lagoon.

The plans will be drawn up after consultation with the local community before a planning application is submitted.
