Planning applications in the South Downs National Park
From 1st April 2012 new planning and related constraint information will only appear on the South Downs National Park (SDNP) planning system and any planning information before 1 April 2012 will remain on Adur District Council and Worthing Borough Council planning systems.
If you have any queries or require any planning information, from 1st April 2012 you will need to seek assistance from the SDNP authority for information and prior to this date to Adur & Worthing Councils.
Note: From 1st April 2012 any planning and related constraint information for properties and land within the South Downs National Park (SDNP) will be created and maintained by the SDNP authority, which will be supplied to Adur & Worthing Councils in order to compile official local searches. The Local Land Charges Section has no direct access to SDNP records. Answers to the Local Land Charges Register and CON29 will be compiled according to the information received. If further details are required, your request should be sent to the SDNP.
Any planning and related constraint information created prior to this date will be maintained by Adur & Worthing Councils and queries relating to this data should be sent to Planning.
You can use the link below to take you to the 'Do I live in the National Park?' tool on the South Downs National Park website where you will be able to insert your postcode, and find out if your property, or application site, lies within the boundary of the South Downs National Park:
