Kickstart paid placements for 16 to 24 year olds

Are you aged 16 to 24, claiming universal credit and are at risk of long term unemployment why not consider a 25 hour a week paid role with Adur & Worthing Council or with one of our partners West Sussex Mind, Esteem, Worthing Homes?

We deliver and offer many services; from community health programmes, social housing to parks and green spaces, environmental health to planning applications. We do a lot, and the paid roles we have on offer are varied! We're active throughout the communities of Adur and Worthing, supporting those who live and work here.

A kickstart placement with us will provide you with the opportunity to gain experience, develop new skills and see how local government works. You will leave this placement with great experience and a trusted referee on your CV as well as being paid the National Minimum wage for your age.

Volunteer with Worthing Museum & Art Gallery

We are looking for Front of House volunteers to provide a friendly welcome to our museum.

Volunteers provide a warm, cheerful welcome to our visitors when they arrive.

They are the first point of contact for visitors in the museum and provide basic information about the visit, highlight points of interest and promote events and activities.
