2018 Parliamentary Boundary Review

The two constituencies for Adur and Worthing are:

  • East Worthing & Shoreham (Adur and some wards from the east of Worthing)
  • Worthing West (The remainder of Worthing and some wards from the east of Arun District)

Proposals for new Parliamentary Constituency boundaries

In 2016, the Boundary Commission for England published and consulted on their initial proposals for new constituency boundaries. The next stage of the 2018 Review is for them to publish the representations they received so that others may comment on them.

The representations were published on Tuesday 28th February 2017 and comments were invited for four weeks until Monday 27th March 2017. All representations and comments were then published on their website:

Following the secondary consultation, the Commission will be considering all representations received from both consultations, and will consider whether any revisions are needed. If they decide to revise the proposals they will consult on the revised boundaries. They currently expect any such consultation to happen towards the end of 2017, or in early 2018.

Revised Proposals for new Parliamentary Constituency boundaries

The Boundary Commission for England (BCE) have now issued Revised Proposals for new Parliamentary Constituency boundaries.

A further eight weeks of consultations on the proposals has now begun (up to 11th December 2017) and any further representations can be made to the BCE.
