Coronavirus (COVID-19): Volunteering
Thank you to everyone who responded to the volunteer recruitment drive during the coronavirus crisis. We received more than 500 responses from local residents who wanted to support this community effort.
Working through our Neighbourhood Teams, volunteers have been supporting vulnerable people with:
- Help with food
- Someone to talk to
- Safety advice, for example avoiding 'scams'
- Help with accessing digital services
Our local community scheme is complementary to the national NHS Volunteer programme which is helping people who are 'extremely vulnerable' or shielded.
Volunteer with us
We are not currently recruiting volunteers for the coronavirus community support scheme. There are, however, plenty of other ways you can volunteer locally. Find out about volunteering opportunities in Adur & Worthing.
