Coronavirus (COVID-19): Joint statement by Cllr Neil Parkin, Leader of Adur District Council and Cllr Daniel Humphreys, Leader of Worthing Borough Council

Cllr Neil Parkin (Leader of Adur DC) and Cllr Daniel Humphreys (Leader of Worthing BC) - small 200

“These are obviously very difficult times and we urge people to follow the advice of the government and Public Health England about what to do as the virus spreads. We understand the impact this is having on residents, organisations and businesses.”

“As far as the services provided by the district and borough councils are concerned we are working around the clock to try to ensure that, as far as is humanly possible, we are keeping to business as usual.”

“Our refuse collection services are still operating normally, as are our customer-facing services. Teams at the Councils have business contingency plans ready.”

“We would ask that as much as possible residents use our online services on our - many are - to conduct business with our teams and of course not to come into our offices if you feel you may have symptoms of the virus (see the NHS self check website).”

“Meanwhile our teams will be using our website and our other social media platforms to keep people informed of the latest developments.”
