Report repairs by text using your mobile phone.

To register:

Nearly 2,000 Adur Homes tenants have already registered for reporting repairs by text message. If you have already received a text message from us then you need do nothing further. If you haven't yet received any text messages from us, please do the following to register:

  • Check to make sure your mobile phone is registered with us. You may:
  • Once you have supplied your mobile phone number, you will shortly receive a 'Welcome Message' by text giving you details of the repairs mobile number with details on how to report a problem to us by text message
  • To confirm we have your correct mobile number, simply text a reply stating 'Yes'
  • You are now registered to report repairs by text from your mobile phone
  • Note: we will ask you to verify your identity if we need to contact you

The service is free to Adur Tenants for you to receive text messages, but you should check your mobile phone contract to see how much it costs you to send an SMS to Adur District Council (standard message rates apply).

To report a repair:

If you have registered your mobile phone number with Adur Homes, you can send an SMS/Text to request a repair. To make the request:

  • Send a text to the Adur Homes mobile number using the keyword 'REPAIR' at the beginning of your message (e.g. repair - please fix the broken window catch in the back bedroom)
  • We will send a text back to you to confirm we have received your message
  • If we need more information we will contact you on your mobile phone to discuss your request or we will text you to ask for more information
  • We will send you another text that your repair has been logged

Please note:

  • that you must rent a home or garage from Adur District Council to use these services. The service is not currently available to leaseholders
  • You may send your request in 24 hours a day, however Adur Homes will acknowledge your request during normal office hours, Monday to Friday
  • We won't send you a text message at evenings or weekends

Remember: Emergency repairs must be reported over the phone using the contact details on our Adur Homes Tenants page
