Adur on street parking

In Adur, there are no resident permit bays or pay and display bays on the streets in the Adur District at present, however this is currently under review by West Sussex County Council for Shoreham-by-Sea beach and town centre.

Worthing on street parking

In Worthing, there is a Controlled Parking Zone with resident and pay and display bays. This does not cover the entire town but the central locations.

Worthing Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ)

There are three zones in Worthing's CPZ where there are resident and pay and display bays. The map in the Where to park guide indicates the location of these zones.

Zone A - Town centre

  • When is the zone active?
    Monday to Saturday - 9am to 6pm
  • How much?
    £1.20 per hour
  • Pay where?
    Ticket machines are in most roads.
  • Always check the sign on the road for the amount of time you are permitted to park.
  • If the sign says 'Pay & Display parking', or 'Pay & Display and residents permits' – you may park for the length of time stipulated.
  • If the sign says 'Permit Holders Only' - this parking is reserved for residents of the town centre, who have an appropriate permit and means you may not use those bays. For further information see Parking Permits.

Zones B and C - Outer town centre

  • When is the zone active?
    Monday to Saturday - 9am to 6pm
  • How much?
    £1.00 per hour
  • Pay where?
    Ticket machines are in most roads
  • Always check the sign on the road for the amount of time you are permitted to park
  • Four hour parking period available on Marine Parade opposite Heene Terrace, and at Splash Point
  • Disabled parking bays are available

Zones D to O

  • When is the zone active?
    Monday to Saturday - Between 10am – 11am, and 2pm – 3pm
  • How much?
    You cannot park during both of these times in this zone. Only residents with permits may park during these times. All other times these zones are free for seven hours a day except where a shorter waiting period is signed
  • Pay where?
    Not applicable
  • Always check the sign on the road for the amount of time you are permitted to park
